Dear Noah,
Through the studio the last months I have had to spend a lot of energy questioning people on if they are truly telling the truth. I hear, “My ______ is killing me.” (Feel free to fill in the blank with any body part available. My statement following is “I will let you say it hurts, I will let you say it is painful, yet I won’t let you say it is killing you. Because you and I don’t want pain to kill you. Right?”
How we talk to ourselves matters. Especially when our body is talking to us through the language of symptoms. By saying “It is killing me.” We are giving our power to the pain or symptom.
One of the people that come in now says, “My ______ is getting me stronger.” Going off the phrase what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I enjoy this comment.
LIFE LESSON: Be hyper aware of what comes out of your mouth. Make sure it is empowering for your body, mind, and soul.
With love and light,
Your Parents
